What are ReStores?
The ReStore is operated by Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk and is a non-profit home furnishings and improvement donation center that sells new and gently-used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more, to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Each unique item you will find at our ReStore has been donated by people just like you; as well as manufacturers, contractors, renovators, who believe in making a positive impact on our community.
How do ReStores help Habitat for Humanity?
The Brant-Norfolk ReStore is owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity Brant-Norfolk. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, independence, and affordable home ownership in our community.
What kinds of items will I find at the ReStore?
The donations we receive and sell may range from new and gently used items such as renovation supplies, kitchen cabinets, windows and doors as well lighting and bathroom fixtures. Other gems might include lumber, tools and furniture. The ReStore should be your first place to visit for inexpensive home renovations.
What types of materials do retailers and manufacturers donate to ReStore?
Merchandise that is regularly donated by retailers and manufacturers include end-of-line, scratch-and-dent, discontinued inventory, paint mis-tint and customer returns.

What are the ReStore hours?
• Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We are closed Sunday and all statutory holidays.
Who do I contact to arrange a donation pick-up?
If you are unable to fit larger items into your car or truck, the ReStore will arrange a time to come and pick up the items directly from your home or office free of charge. If you refuse the items I donate, will you dispose of them for me?
ReStores do not have a garbage disposal service for items that are unsuitable, unsalable or overstocked. Please remember that all donations must be inspected during our regular business hours. Dropping off materials outside our store hours is considered dumping and subject to a fine.
Are ReStore prices negotiable?
Items are priced to sell, not negotiate. ReStore prices are extremely reasonable and competitive. Prices at the ReStore are discounted typically by 40% to 80% so you are guaranteed a deal while helping families living in need. Product prices are reduced monthly, according to the price tag colour, to assist in the rotation of new materials to the sales floor.
How often do new items arrive at the ReStore?
Every day, new and gently-used items arrive from individuals and companies wanting to help Habitat for Humanity eliminate substandard housing in Brant and Norfolk County. Visiting the ReStore always offers a unique opportunity to discover a fantastic deal or one-of-a-kind gem.
Will you accept my kitchen cabinets?
The Brantford ReStore has a salvage crew and can dismantle large items such as full kitchen sets. If your contractor takes out a kitchen, we will also be happy to pick it up and provide you with a charitable donation receipt for the fair market value of the donation.
Will the ReStore install my purchases?
Unfortunately we do not install or provide service calls for items purchased at the ReStore.
How do ReStores help the environment?
Operating under the premise of reduce-reuse-recycle-resell, ReStores are effective environmental stewards. Every year, the ReStore diverts and resells tonnes of building products originally destined for landfills.
Will you recycle my electronic waste?
Habitat Brant-Norfolk ReStore is a certified Ontario Electronic Recycle location. If you are upgrading your TV, fax machine, computer or copier, why not recycle your e-waste at the ReStore?
Will you issue me a tax receipt?
Tax receipts are issued on request based on the estimated fair market value of the goods you donate to the ReStore.
What methods of payment are accepted at the ReStore?
The ReStore accepts cash, debit, Visa, American Express and MasterCard.
Do I have to call ahead when I’m dropping items off at the ReStore?
Yes, it is always a great idea to call ahead and ensure your donations are suitable and that we are currently accepting new stock. All donations to the ReStore must be inspected by our staff during regular business hours. Please don’t drop off donations after business hours.
What is your return policy on ReStore purchases?
Items may be returned for exchange or ReStore credit within 30 days of purchase. Please remember your original sales receipt and ensure that the price tag is still on the item. Store credits have no expiry date.
Items purchased during our 50% off sales are considered final sale and non-returnable/exchangeable.
Can I purchase my ReStore item and pick it up later?
Items may be paid for and picked up at another time if the transaction is authorized by a ReStore staff. Sold items for pick-up must be collected within 3 days of purchase.
