Whether you join us on the build site, in the ReStore or virtually through one of our interactive community campaigns, your investment in local families who are partnering with us to build safe, decent and affordable homes will have a tremendous impact in our community. Whatever your objectives for getting involved and doing some good, we are proud to offer a veritable ‘toolbox’ of great ideas to foster an integrated partnership approach.
When you partner with Habitat you won’t simply be helping families build decent, affordable homes — an investment in Habitat leads to healthier and more productive communities. In fact, the benefit to the local community for a typical Habitat build is typically worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Research has also shown that Habitat families are happier, healthier and more financially secure. As a family’s financial stability improves, their dependence on social services decreases, providing them with more opportunities to contribute to their local economy and community. Safe, decent housing can also provide families with better education and employment opportunities.

Looking for an opportunity to truly engage your group members or employees in building community? Whether you’ve never swung a hammer or are already skilled in the construction field, they can all be part of our Team Build program. As a Team Build partner, you help pay for the building materials and the land which directly helps with the construction of a Habitat partner family’s home – all while taking part in a rewarding and powerful team-building experience! We customize the experience together with you for up to 10 participants for a single Team Day, or up to 50 participants for a Team Week. Funds can be raised in many different ways – some organizations choose to make a contribution on behalf of its participating individuals or match the amount the individual raises, others encourage employees to seek pledges or organize fundraising events.

Our ReStores rely on your donations to keep our shelves stocked! Many companies have found ReStores to be a viable product solution while also helping the community.
Our ReStores are always happy to accept new and gently used items. We accept donations of furniture, appliances, décor, building materials, tools, and much more. If in doubt, contact us – we love to be able to say “yes” to donations and hate to see anything good go to waste!
